Considered one of Italy's most renowned golf courses, the Golf Club Poggio dei Medici features 18 holes and a length of 6,468 meters. It is strategically located, only 25 minutes from Florence and 45 minutes from Bologna Airport. The course was designed in 1992 by the architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and the Florentine professional golfer Baldovino Dassù. The success of the course is due to several factors: From its opening in 1992, Poggio dei Medici impressed with an innovative, challenging design developed by the renowned architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and the experienced golfer Baldovino Dassù according to USGA standards. The golf course stands out for its expansive, varied layout – each of the 18 holes has its own charm without parallel fairways, and it incorporates natural elements such as water hazards and ancient trees. This successful combination of technical finesse and the picturesque Tuscan landscape in the Mugello region immediately gave the course a unique quality that sets it apart from other facilities and earned it the title "Best New Golf Course".

With five different tee boxes per hole, the course is suitable for players of all levels and has hosted numerous international golf competitions, including five Women's Italian Opens (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003), an Alps Tour Open (2007), and three European Challenge Tour Opens (2010, 2011, and 2013).
